Cleanroom Adhesive Mats: Selection and Use

General selection guidance · Review current SKU-specific product data before qualification.

Cleanroom adhesive mats—also called sticky or tacky mats—provide a removable contact surface for footwear and cart wheels at a controlled-area transition. Selection begins with the physical location and traffic path.

Measure the placement area

Record available width and length, doorway clearance, floor condition, and the direction of pedestrian and wheeled traffic. The mat should fit the procedure without creating an obstruction or trip risk.

Compare footprint and layers

Q-Leap's launch mats are both 36 inches long and contain 30 numbered peel-off layers. ST183638B is 18 inches wide; ST243638B is 24 inches wide. Both are blue and packed 8 mats per case.

Define installation and inspection

Confirm whether the mat will be applied to a clean, suitable, level floor or used with a compatible frame. Establish who inspects the exposed layer, what condition triggers a layer change, and how removed layers are handled.

Keep claims product-specific

Do not assign a particle-removal percentage, antimicrobial property, adhesive chemistry, or cleanroom classification unless Q-Leap documentation confirms it for the exact SKU. The current product pages state only verified dimensions, color, layer count, edge, packaging, and intended transition use.

Commercial planning

Both launch mat SKUs are quote-only. Contact Q-Leap with the required footprint, estimated quantity, placement context, and timing for current pricing and availability.
