How to Use Layered Cleanroom Adhesive Mats

General selection guidance · Review current SKU-specific product data before qualification.

A layered adhesive mat should be integrated into a written facility procedure. The procedure must address safe placement, inspection, layer removal, and replacement without adding unsupported assumptions about service life.

Before installation

  1. Confirm the selected footprint fits the transition and traffic path.
  2. Inspect the floor or compatible frame for a clean, level, suitable surface.
  3. Confirm the mat will not interfere with doors, carts, emergency routes, or walking safety.
  4. Record the product SKU and layer count in the local work instruction.

During use

Route footwear and intended wheels across the exposed adhesive surface according to the facility procedure. Inspect the layer at the defined frequency and use a documented change criterion based on visible loading, loss of effective contact, damage, or another approved trigger.

Removing a layer

  1. Follow facility PPE and waste-handling requirements.
  2. Peel only the exposed layer, using the numbered tab where provided.
  3. Avoid contacting the newly exposed surface.
  4. Dispose of the removed layer under the approved waste procedure.
  5. Record the change if the facility requires it.

Replacing the mat

Replace the complete mat when the last usable layer is removed, the backing or frame no longer holds it safely, or the mat is damaged. Do not state a fixed calendar replacement interval without facility data because traffic and loading vary.

Q-Leap sizes
